Travel Interview: Always a Honeymoon

Always a Honeymoon

If not traveling, what is your 9-5 life like?

David is a freelance camera assistant, working mostly on music videos and commercials. Brenda is a mid-level manager for a non-profit youth organization. We both have demanding schedules that often include nights and weekends.

Who, or what, inspired you to travel the first time?

Early in our relationship we were invited to a wedding in Bermuda. Once we realized how much it would cost, we decided the money would be better spent going to where WE wanted to go. We chose French Polynesia. The travel flame was ignited! (We’ve since been to Bermuda and loved it.)

How have you changed your life to travel more?

We don’t have expensive tastes and we buy most household items and clothing at discount stores or on sale. Furthermore, we rarely pay full price for any of our social activities, purchasing our events through discount sites and using restaurant discounts. And of course, no Starbucks or lunches out!

How has travel changed your life?

Travel has opened our eyes to how other people live, enlightening us to new ways of viewing the world.  Being in a new, unfamiliar place creates different challenges for us to overcome.

What is your main purpose/goal of your travel blog?

Initially, our Facebook page and blog were created to record our travels, to preserve our memories. It has morphed a bit and we hope our blog inspires others to travel also and in return, through feedback, we hope to learn of new amazing places we never imagined visiting.
